Capturing the Spirit of the Game: A Photographer’s Perspective
As your intrepid disc golf photographer from UnsolicitedDiscPix, I was on the ground, capturing the weekend’s triumphs and tribulations. Through my lens, the emotion and intensity of the competitors at The Green Gauntlet at Palmetto Point Park, Champions Pointe at Lake Hiawatha Preserve, and The LakeHawk at Lake Sumter State College were as palpable as the Florida sun.

Navigating the Greens: The Courses That Defined the Tournament
The event, helmed by Tournament Director Matt Knight and his capable Assistant Tournament Director Samantha Murray, spanned the weekend of November 4th-5th. Players tackled three challenging courses, each with its own unique layout and obstacles. From the twisting fairways of The Green Gauntlet to the picturesque vistas at Champions Pointe and the strategically demanding grounds of LakeHawk, the tournament tested the mettle and skill of all who participated.

Optimal Play Conditions: Florida’s Weather at its Best
The weekend was graced with clear skies, as the crisp weather provided optimal conditions for disc flight, albeit a bit chilly by Florida standards. The absence of wind was a boon for many, allowing for precise throws and calculated risks that might otherwise be untenable.
